Connections

Connections is a series of abstract works I have created over the years that feel serendipitously linked together. The act of painting is highly intuitive and the artist is often surprised works falling into organic series that arise without direct plan and intention. Discovering the concepts behind connections is the ultimate goal, both for the audience and for the artist.

Untitled II

Acrylics, mediums, plaster, coffee, spray paints on canvas.

This work is an attempt to create a three-dimensional space charged with potential motion. Contrasting mediums, textures and colors are selected to create an underlying sense of contained movement, frozen in time yet very real.

Acrylics, inks on canvas.

A further exploration of the idea of potential motion. Apart from contrasting colors and textures, I introduced a new conflict: that between organic plant-like forms and “spills” induced by the impartial physical law of gravity.
