“Memories” Solo Art Show at Atelje Ključ, April 2023
Ana Maria Gower will be premiering her solo exhibition “Memories” in Atelje Kluč in Belgrade from 17 to 26 of April, 2023.

Memories are trompe l’oeil fragments, constantly revised and reinvented, from which we construct our destiny.
They are both literal and symbolic.
Each incorporates what we knew and felt at some point, what we think about it now, and what we feel will happen.
Our mind changes them, turns them into distorted narrations that flatten time and space into a single moment.
This exhibition is as much an exploration of the theme as it is a personal journey.
The artist collects the pieces of the broken past – people, places, feelings – to rebuild her life story, while trying to understand the meaning of memories and explain their power over us.
